The short version

• No accounts, no sign-up, no email address, no name.
• No cookies, and no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
• Your answers are used to work out your result and are not saved.
• Nothing you do on this site is sold or shared.

What happens to your answers

While you take the test, your answers and the time you started are kept in your browser’s session storage, so that a page refresh does not lose your progress. That data stays on your device. It is removed when you receive your result, and browsers discard it when you close the tab.

When you press “See my result”, your answers and the elapsed time are sent to the server in a single request. The server compares them with the answer key, calculates your result and sends the result page back. The answers are held in memory only for as long as that takes. They are not written to a database, a file or a log, and they are not linked to you in any way.

Cookies and similar technology

This site does not set cookies. It uses your browser’s storage for two things only, both strictly to make the site work and both kept on your device: temporary session storage for your progress in the test (described above), and local storage for the accessibility settings you choose in the accessibility panel, such as text size or high contrast. Neither is sent to the server or shared with anyone, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings. When you finish, a copy of your result page (the score and breakdown, never your answers) is also kept in session storage until you close the tab, so that refreshing the page or going back does not lose it.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the servers that host this site may keep basic technical logs, such as the address a request came from, the page requested, the time and the browser type. These are used for security and to keep the site running. This site does not add anything else to them, and the answers you submit are not part of them.

Third parties and sharing

The site loads no fonts, scripts, images or trackers from other companies. The share buttons on the result page are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp, Facebook, X or any other service unless you click one, and then only a link that contains your estimated IQ number, together with the text of the message. Your answers, your time and your breakdown are never included. What the service you chose does with the message is governed by its own privacy policy.

Children

The site never asks for or stores personal information, so it does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. Young people should take the test with a parent or guardian’s knowledge.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
